The completion of Fairing Way’s final phase also represents the completion of Union Point’s first neighborhood, Southfield Highlands. Southfield Highlands’ residents enjoy Union Point’s 843 acres of open space and wildlife — perfect for hiking, biking and even birdwatching. In fact, Fairing Way residents were instrumental in helping the Wildlands Trust staff build and install bird boxes throughout the trails at Union Point this past spring. A Neighborhood Association regularly hosts social events in the community park. Residents recently enjoyed a discussion on the history of the Weymouth Air Base held at Fairing Way and they’re formulating their questions for an upcoming Candidates’ Night featuring candidates running in this fall’s Weymouth town elections!
