If you haven’t visited Southfield this summer, you’ll be amazed by the changes that have occurred in only a short period of time. The most exciting of which, is the grand opening of the Bill Delahunt Parkway! The new, tree-lined boulevard pleasantly winds East to West across the site, conveniently connecting SouthField to Route 3 at Exit 14 in Rockland.

Things have been heating up this summer on the South Shore and apartments are being reserved at a scorching pace. We have more than doubled our reservations in just the past few months!
As you drive through SouthField on your way to the Fairing Way Welcome Center for our active adult community, you may not realize that we’re located on what was once a bustling naval air base. Future residents and members of the community discovered the history of Weymouth’s Naval Air Base presented by Bill Sargent, CO ANA Patriot Squadron at the Shea Naval Historical Museum.

Our final video in this series focuses on our vibrant 55+ community living. What better time to celebrate our new South Shore 55+ community then when we celebrate our nation's independence.
Most seniors put off a move to an adult retirement community for many reasons but one reason we hear time and time again is that they just don’t want to leave home. It’s not the physical structure of home that keeps folks tied down. More often than not it’s the neighborhood that they don’t want to part with. This was an influencing factor with the selection of the location for our new senior community.
We believe that the key to aging better is embracing a philosophy focused upon improving wellness in those over 55. To really improve wellness, you should use a multi-dimensional approach. When you think of wellness, doesn’t your mind automatically think only of eating better and exercising?

Kale, raisins and walnuts? Not necessarily a combination I would have put together but Liz and Katie from Whole Foods did and boy was it delicious as we sampled food at Fairing Way, an over 55 community.

Spring is in the air and we couldn’t be happier. The South Shore has been inundated with snow this season so it is nice to see some grass again! Winter reminds us that being a homeowner definitely has its drawbacks when it comes to shoveling snow and coordinating fuel deliveries. Home maintenance can really distract and detract from time spent doing the things we love and enjoy.
